Are you emergency ready?

In the event of an emergency, chances are your mains power supply will be disrupted. Could your building cope?

It’s difficult to predict exactly what might happen in the event of an emergency in a building, but there are some aspects we know will happen and so it makes sense to have support systems in place ready for action. One of the biggest areas that a building’s emergency plan needs to consider is the failure or loss of mains supply, which is why a secondary lighting system is important. BS5266 part 1, requires an emergency lighting system to be able to provide light for 3 hours following loss of main power. All of the emergency lighting systems Yee Group installs are in accordance with this regulation as well as observing the Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996 with respect to the siting of exit and safety signs. We have a wide range of emergency lighting systems in different styles and dimensions, to suit all building types.
