Passive fire protection

A building fire can be absolutely devastating for the people who may live or work in the building at the time of the fire, and has major legal, financial and logistical implications for the building owner long after the fire is out.

Yee Group have a proven track record and experience in finding the correct solution for your fire stopping requirements. Investing in passive fire protection systems for your building will ensure the containment of a fire at its source so as to limit its spread, protect escape routes against heat and smoke and protect the structure of the building to prevent it from collapsing. Ensuring that the building you operate is as safe as it can be in the event of a fire, can allow sufficient time for occupants to escape safely, or reduce the effect a fire or smoke might have is imperative.

Yee Group is ASFP and FIRAS accredited, and we offer a comprehensive passive fire protection service. Our specialist team can survey your properties and put together a plan of action to help you protect tenants, staff and buildings in the event of a fire. Safety is at the core of all our installation processes with no work undertaken until a comprehensive, job-specific method statement and risk assessment has been approved. Our aim is to achieve an accident-free workplace. We are able to demonstrate our commitment by being ISO9001 and CHAS accredited.

I have never known a project be completed without any snags, which is a massive achievement on the part of Yee Group.

Penetration sealing

Fire sealing systems are a fundamental requirement of the safety design in buildings.

Effective sealing prevents the passage of smoke, toxic gasses and fire through gaps around services in walls, partitions and floors as well as enhancing acoustic performance and air sealing properties. For further information watch the video below (with thanks to the ASFP.)

Fire doors

Fire doors are a crucial element of a building’s passive fire safety system, slowing down the spread of fire and smoke.

At Yee Group we install and maintain fire doors and frames that are tested to BS476 Part 22 or the European equivalent BS EN1634 Part 1, so you can be sure our products and services are fully compliant.
